Naomi Eason
Chief, Research and Education Policy Development
Naomi Eason, Ed.D., is the Chief, Research and Education Policy Development for CSBA. Dr. Eason has been with CSBA for more than four years.
With over 20 years of experience as an educator and administrator, Dr. Eason is committed to supporting members so they can better fulfill their board responsibilities. Dr. Eason's team is responsible for the Annual Education Conference and Tradeshow (AEC), Master in Governance, Governance Consulting Services, Membership Recruitment, Business Development, and California County Boards of Education (CCBE) .
As a longtime champion for underperforming students, Dr. Eason previously served as the executive director of Building Educated Leaders for Life (BELL) California. Prior to her work at BELL, Eason was the assistant superintendent, Educational Services Division for the Alameda County Office of Education, where she directed professional development offered to educators in the 18 school districts in Alameda County. Eason also served as a principal in the Emery Unified School District and as a teacher in the Oakland Unified School District.
Dr. Eason earned her Ed.D. in educational leadership from the University of the Pacific; a Master of Arts in educational leadership and administrative services credential, both from California State University, East Bay; and a multiple subject teaching credential and Bachelor of Arts in liberal studies, from Mills College.
