Joshua Daniels
Chief, Policy and Governance Technology Services
Prior to his current position overseeing CSBA sample policies and the board management services offered under the GAMUT umbrella, Joshua Daniels served as the chief governance officer/general counsel at the Oakland Unified School District and as the Director of Training and Outreach at the California Collaborative for Educational Excellence, the statewide agency solely charged with assisting local educational agencies in need of support through universal, targeted and intensive supports and resources. He was previously a CSBA staff attorney.
Daniels was twice elected to the school board of the Berkeley Unified School District in 2010 and 2014, and twice served as board president.
He holds a juris doctorate and a masters of public policy from UC Berkeley, as well as a masters degree in mathematics from Wesleyan University.
