Golden Bell entries due by June 21
Published: May 1, 2013
CSBA’s Golden Bell Awards program is accepting entries through June 21, with 23 categories that reflect the breadth of exemplary educational programs and services provided by California’s public schools.
In addition to the new category announced last month—Linked Learning, sponsored by the James Irvine Foundation to recognize effective programs that prepare students for college and careers—sponsored categories include:
- Sustainable, Renewable, Energy and Resource-Efficient Programs: Sponsored by Fagen Friedman & Fulfrost LLP, which also offers the “Going Green” scholarship for winning programs that are site-based and student led.
- Wellness: Sponsored by Kaiser Permanente, which also underwrites the nationwide Thriving Schools Initiative:A Partnership for Healthy Students, Staff, and Teachers, to improve academic achievement by improving health inside and outside of the classroom.
Winners in all 23 categories will be honored at the annual Golden Bell Luncheon following CSBA’s Dec. 5-7 Annual Education Conference and Trade Show in San Diego. Find out more at gb.csba.org.
