This Privacy Policy describes the information CSBA collects about the users of its website, how and why CSBA collects users’ information, how the information will be used and safeguarded, and the choices CSBA offers users of its website regarding the use, access, and correction of their personal information.
When this Privacy Policy applies
The CSBA Privacy Policy applies to all products and services that CSBA and its affiliates offer on the CSBA website and on other sites, including Gamut Online and Agenda Online.
When this Privacy Policy does not apply
The CSBA Privacy Policy does
not apply to products and services which have separate privacy policies that do not incorporate the CSBA Privacy Policy, nor does it cover the information management practices of other companies, organizations, or individuals who advertise CSBA products and services.
Disclaimer regarding Social Media and Linked Sites
The CSBA website includes social media features, such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and links to other sites on the web. To enable their functionality, such sites and social media features may collect users’ Internet Protocol (IP) addresses and set cookies on users’ devices. Interactions with any such site or feature are governed by the privacy statement of the company providing it, not CSBA’s.
Information CSBA collects
Generally, users can visit or access the CSBA website without actively revealing any personally identifiable information. However, due to the nature of some of the CSBA products and services, and sometimes to better provide services, CSBA may request for personally identifiable information such as a user’s name, title, employer/organization, address, email address, and telephone number. Means through which CSBA may collect user information include the following:
- Device information – The type of device used, operating system version, and the device identifier
- Log information – When CSBA service is used or CSBA-provided content is viewed, user information such as IP address, telephone log information, device event information, and cookies that may uniquely identify the browser may be automatically collected and stored in a server log.
- Local storage – Information locally available on a user’s electronic device may be accessed through mechanisms such as browser web storage, application data caches, and the use of cookies or similar technologies
How CSBA uses Information it Collects
CSBA uses information it collects from users of its products and services to provide, maintain, protect, and improve those products and services, to design or develop new products and services, and to improve user/customer experience. CSBA may share non-personally identifiable information publicly and with its partners, such as publishers, advertisers, and business affiliates. CSBA will not share any user’s personally identifiable information with third parties unless one of the following circumstances applies:
- With user’s affirmative consent, authorizing CSBA to provide the personal information to a third party.
- For legal reasons, such as (a) to protect CSBA’s rights or property, (b) to detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud or security or technical issues, or (c) when, by law, legal process, or some enforceable governmental request, CSBA is required to reveal the personal information.
- For CSBA business reasons, when the third party is a provider of some service to CSBA which cannot be performed without access to the personally identifiable information.
How CSBA safeguards Information it Collects
CSBA follows generally accepted standards, including encryption technology and strict verification protocols, to protect all personally identifiable information it collects and stores.
Revision of Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes to CSBA’s information management practices. Any material revision to the policy will be communicated to users by means of a notice on the CSBA website prior to the change taking effect. Users are encouraged to periodically review the CSBA Privacy Policy for the latest privacy statement information.
