Teri Vigil
Board Member, Fall River Joint Unified School District
Teri Vigil has been a board member in the Fall River Joint Unified School District for 18 years and currently serves as the board president. Her training in interest-based bargaining guides her work. Vigil has served on the CSBA Legislative Committee, is a Delegate for Region 2 and is a regular attendee of CSBA’s Legislative Action Day. Vigil joined the MIG staff in 2019, teaching the Student Learning and Achievement module.
For the past 10 years, she has attended the National School Board Association’s Federal Relations Network in Washington, D.C., where she advocates for California’s students. For the past two years, she has facilitated a CSBA professional learning network, made possible through a grant from the California Collaborative for Educational Excellence, working with small, medium and large districts on equity issues related to the Local Control and Accountability Plan and Local Control Funding Formula. Vigil has also worked for CSBA business partner McPherson and Jacobson as a superintendent search consultant for the last five years.
