Statement by CSBA President Frank Pugh

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CSBA will be available to address questions on Monday, July 26. Please contact Brittany McKannay at that time.

The following statement was provided by CSBA President Frank Pugh on July 23, 2010

"The CSBA Board of Directors have had very thorough and productive discussions today and we have come to important conclusions, some of which I want to share with you now.

Mr. Plotkin will retire effective September 1, upon exhausting his accrued leave.

Former CSBA Executive Director, Davis Campbell has agreed to serve as CSBA’s interim Executive Director.

We’re taking all of this very seriously. The CSBA board is committed to transparency and recognizes that tighter controls need to be implemented.  To that end, we will retain an independent firm to conduct a review of CSBA’s compensation system, analyze our expenditures and checks and balances, as well as assist in instituting best practices.

The Board of Directors voted today to extend the current policy which prohibits the use of CSBA corporate credit cards for personal purposes and activities to the Executive Director.

I am confident that during this time the staff and leadership of CSBA will meet the challenges placed before us and work even harder to maintain the trust of our members and public.

Our public information officer, Brittany McKannay will pass out a statement from Scott Plotkin."
