Golden Bell adds Linked Learning category
Published: April 1, 2013
CSBA’s Golden Bell Awards program, which recognizes exemplary educational programs and services provided by California’s public schools, has added a category to honor outstanding Linked Learning efforts to connect what students learn in school to the skills they will need as college students or working professionals.
Sponsored by the James Irvine Foundation, this category includes the display of successful models, techniques, practices and supporting data focused on implementing the Linked Learning approach in schools and school districts. Applicants will be judged based on their program’s fidelity in implementation to the core components and guiding principles of the Linked Learning approach. Linked Learning entries should include the role of the school board in supporting programs that help implement Linked Learning.
CSBA also awards Golden Bells in 22 other categories. Entries are accepted through June 21.
