Social networking woven into conference plans

Facebook. Twitter. YouTube.

You’ve heard the buzzwords, but do you know what they mean and how they can benefit you? CSBA’s Annual Education Conference and Trade Show will offer abundant opportunities to learn what you need to know about social networking.

Jim Spellos, founder of the technology website Meeting U will present four—yes, four—different critical issues sessions during the Annual Conference: “75 Websites in 75 Minutes—the Essential Websites for Today’s Assistants”; “Beyond Facebook: Creating Your Own Social Networking Brand”; “Google-icious: How to Find Anything on the Internet”; and “Way Cool Tools.” His sessions will be at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.

You can also get insights and assistance from CSBA staff at the in-service training area on the Trade Show floor at 3:30 p.m. on the opening day Thursday, Dec. 2, or at 11:15 a.m. Dec. 3. Or visit us in the CSBA Pavilion, where staff can walk you through setting up a Facebook or Twitter account and answer your CSBA e-mail questions.

New this year, we’ll be “tweeting” live from the conference. Sign up for a Twitter account and follow CSBA’s AEC Twitter feed @csbaaec for updated information about conference sessions. Also see what fellow attendees think about various workshops they attend, or post your own feedback using the #csbaaec hash tag.

Watch for an e-mail soon with more information on how to weave social networking into your Annual Conference plans.
