Workshops: board presidents, new or first-term trustees, the Brown Act

Directing a board requires strong leadership, strategic vision and the ability to pull together members of a team. Newer board members need other skills, and every board member should know the Brown Act’s open-meeting requirements.

Fortunately, CSBA training can help meet all of those needs: Board Presidents’ Workshops (offered on Saturdays), the Institute for New and First-Term Board Members (on Fridays and Saturdays) and Brown Act Workshops (on Friday evenings) travel the state on an integrated schedule that can accommodate everyone. The 2010 schedule begins in Sacramento Jan. 22.
