Policies
New beginnings can be filled with challenges, but overcoming obstacles is what learning is all about. In today’s preK-12 educational space, AI use is fraught with the challenges of any paradigm shift, but if it’s handled thoughtfully, the benefits of using AI can far outweigh the hurdles.
To support the incorporation of AI, CSBA Policy and Governance Technology Services staff is revising current GAMUT policies to reflect AI and identifying new policy needs. Included in the link below are recent policies that have been released to GAMUT subscribers related to the use of AI in schools. GAMUT policies are released quarterly in September, December, March and June. As new AI polices are developed and existing ones are revised to include AI, policy descriptions will be updated here.
