CSBA hosted this webcast in response to the upcoming filing for the first interim budget report and the many more districts potentially poised to earn qualified and negative budget certifications due to the state’s economic woes. The webcast featured Joel Montero, chief executive officer of the Fiscal Crisis & Management Assistance Team (FCMAT), CSBA Senior Policy Director Teri Burns, and San Joaquin County Office of Education Deputy Superintendent Jim Thomas who discussed the common message, AB 1200, and the role and services of FCMAT.
