California Sheet Metal/HVAC Industry

We provide high quality technical education to men and women who seek a rewarding career in the sheet metal and HVAC industry through our joint apprenticeship programs. The contractor members of the California Association of Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors (CAL SMACNA) and the craftperson members of the Sheet Metal, Air Rail and Transportation Unions' (SMART) work together to design, construct and maintain advanced HVAC systems for schools that place a premium on energy efficiency and enhanced indoor air quality. Our goal is to create and ensure a learning environment that is healthy, high performing and comfortable for students and teachers alike. Our pool of contractors and professional craftpersons will make all of the difference when it comes to delivering work on education facilities that is safe, on-time and within budget.

California Statewide Electrical JATC

We provide a career for highly skilled craftspeople. Electrical workers receive their training through local joint apprenticeship training centers utilizing a standardized education program supported by the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). This model education partnership produces a highly skilled and trained workforce equipped to meet the demands of the customer.

Instructional Access, Inc.

The Instructional Access, Inc. was founded in 1998. The Diploma Access Academy is a supplemental diploma granting and career certification program for vulnerable students most likely to drop out due to credit deficiency and/or other adverse experiences. As a supplemental alternative education option, Diploma Access Academy classrooms embed within partner districts and include online synchronous/asynchronous learning, classroom-based teachers, Individualized Graduation Plans, onsite case management, and “wrap-a-around” services. Diploma Access Academy staffing and management are provided by Instructional Access, Inc. The program assists districts with dropout prevention, credit recovery, improved student attendance (LCFF growth), graduation rate increases, and a decrease in dropout occurrences.

We train thousands of plumbers, steamfitters, sprinklerfitters, welders and HVACR technicians in union sponsored and State and Federal Government accredited programs throughout California.

Southern California Labor Compliance

The Southern California Labor Compliance (SCLC) is committed to the enforcement of labor standards on Roofing and Waterproofing construction projects performed in the State of California. Labor compliance was one of the principal reasons for the formation of SCLC, and remains an important consideration to this day. Toward this end we monitor public and privately‐funded projects from bidding through project award and construction, always seeking to maintain fairness for all contractors. The entire structure of construction bidding rests upon a foundation of honesty and fair dealing.

Wellness Together

Wellness Together partners with K-12 school districts to provide turn-key mental health services for students, families, and educators. Culturally competent Mental Health Specialists (MHS) take a collaborative approach with existing school staff to provide evidence-based intervention within each school’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). Wellness Together offers individual counseling, group counseling, crisis intervention, family engagement, and social-emotional learning.
