The contractor members of the California Association of Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors (CAL SMACNA) and the craftperson members of the Sheet Metal, Air Rail and Transportation Unions' (SMART) work together to design, construct and maintain advanced HVAC systems for schools that place a premium on energy efficiency and enhanced indoor air quality. Our goal is to create and ensure a learning environment that is healthy, high performing and comfortable for students and teachers alike. Our pool of contractors and professional craftpersons will make all of the difference when it comes to delivering work on education facilities that is safe, on-time and within budget.
We train thousands of plumbers, steamfitters, sprinklerfitters, welders and HVACR technicians in union sponsored and State and Federal Government accredited programs throughout California.
We provide a career for highly skilled craftspeople. Electrical workers receive their training through local joint apprenticeship training centers utilizing a standardized education program supported by the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). This model education partnership produces a highly skilled and trained workforce equipped to meet the demands of the customer.
Career Launch is a social enterprise whose mission is to enhance student's professional communication skills, increase their social capital, and accelerate their college and career readiness. Career Launch has a train-the-trainer model and a direct service model to support teachers, counselors, high schools, districts, and county offices of education. Aiming to support educational institutions’ diversity, equity, and inclusion goals; constructive community engagement; and civil discourse, FAIR offers several products, programs, and services to California districts and schools: the K-12 FAIRstory Curriculum; a robust ethnic studies course that is tailored to the needs of California high schools; curriculum review and development; equity auditing; the FAIR Schools network; training for teaching staff; and the FAIR Diversity training program.

The Safely Opening Schools (SOS) mission is to keep schools safer by implementing COVID-19 testing for students and education workers in California School Districts. Continued testing—as new variants spread and vaccination hesitancy continues to be present—remains an important step to reduce community transmission and to keep children, school staff, and families including those at highest risk, safer.

The Southern California Labor Compliance (SCLC) is committed to the enforcement of labor standards on Roofing and Waterproofing construction projects performed in the State of California. Labor compliance was one of the principal reasons for the formation of SCLC, and remains an important consideration to this day. Toward this end we monitor public and privately‐funded projects from bidding through project award and construction, always seeking to maintain fairness for all contractors. The entire structure of construction bidding rests upon a foundation of honesty and fair dealing.
The Peoples Advocacy Group is a non-partisan advocacy firm that specializes in teaching students the components of the California state legislative process. The firm facilitates connecting into the state lawmaking process with issue area specific legislative updates, calendar widgets, and advocacy tools. Our internet-based platform, “Fast Track Capitol”, helps increase civic engagement on campus by directing students to the different access points to engage on proposed policy. Our platform serves as an instructional tool that helps educate students about the legislative process, allows for the civil expression of first amendment rights, and creates a clear pathway into the lawmaking process
Wellness Together partners with K-12 school districts to provide turn-key mental health services for students, families, and educators. Culturally competent Mental Health Specialists (MHS) take a collaborative approach with existing school staff to provide evidence-based intervention within each school’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). Wellness Together offers individual counseling, group counseling, crisis intervention, family engagement, and social-emotional learning.
