The CSBA County Board Member Services Conference is scheduled to take place from Sept. 13-15, 2024, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel located in Monterey, CA. This conference provides a unique opportunity for county board leaders to come together and discuss students' futures in light of domestic policies and global trends. It gathers county board members, superintendents, and educational think partners from all over the state, offering valuable knowledge and information in five key areas. These areas include advocacy and community engagement, county board core, funding and finances, leadership through shared governance, and wellness and safety.
As the role of County Offices of Education continues to evolve, CSBA is committed to providing COE board members with the necessary tools and information to become effective elected education leaders. The conference provides an excellent opportunity to meet and share ideas with fellow county board members from other regions. You'll leave the event inspired with new ideas for serving students. The conference offers exciting breakout sessions, great keynote speakers, and ample networking opportunities, making it a must-attend event!

CSBA is offering a California School Board Ethics Training and Key Elements of the Brown Act Training as pre-conference activities prior to the County Board Member Services Conference. These trainings will take place on Sept.12. Registration will open May 1 with the following fee schedule:

Housing
You can now book your hotel accommodation at the Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel and Spa online through our dedicated website. The single/double rate per night is $299, plus taxes and fees. We encourage you to make your reservation as soon as possible.
The CSBA-negotiated block of rooms has a reservation cutoff date of Monday, Aug. 12, 2024 or until sold out. After this date, rooms may be available on a space-available basis, and the special group rate may not be guaranteed. Please note that the hotel requires a valid credit card to guarantee your reservation at the time of booking.

Registrants are responsible for securing and, if necessary, cancelling their own housing reservations. Cancellation is 48 hours prior to arrival day to avoid any penalty (1 night fee).
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel your registration or have any questions, please direct all cancellation requests via email to register@csba.org. Registrants may cancel with written notice for a full refund until August 28, 2024. After August 28, registrants may cancel with written notice for a 50% refund until September 5, 2024. Cancellations or transfers received after September 5 are not eligible for a refund, as food/beverage and materials have been ordered on your behalf. There are no refunds for no-shows. Please include your name, organization, and the event title in all correspondence.
