This session will provide invaluable insights into board members' crucial budgeting responsibility, funding sources, essential budget items, and the significance of the Local Control & Accountability Plan (LCAP) and Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) in setting the district's direction and allocating resources.

Understanding Board Members' Responsibility in Budgeting: Gain clarity on the role and responsibility of board members in the budgeting process, including oversight, approval, and decision-making.

 

Exploring Funding Sources: Familiarize yourself with the various funding sources for school districts, including state, federal, and local sources, and understand how these funds contribute to the district's budget.
