September 5: Day of Action

Join the Education Coalition for a statewide Day of Action this Friday, September 5. Events will take place in communities all over the state. Students, school governance leaders, teachers, school employees and others will assemble at one location in each participating community to demonstrate our frustration with the budget impasse, how the lack of a budget is affecting local schools and our support for a balanced approach to solving the budget deficit. Local media will be invited.

Check the schedule of events to see what events are taking place in your area. If you can’t make it to an event, please call the CTA-sponsored hotline toll-free at 1-888-268-4334 to contact your legislator and ask them to support the original “conference committee budget” to prevent deeper cuts to our schools and students!
