Top student volunteers sought for community awards program
Published: September 16, 2015
The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program is seeking young people who have made meaningful contributions to their communities through volunteer service over the past 12 months. The program honors students in grades 5-12 at the local, state and national level. State honorees — one top middle school and high school student from each state and the District of Columbia — receive $1,000 and an all-expense-paid trip with a parent or guardian to Washington D.C. in the spring. Ten of the 102 state honorees are named America’s top youth volunteers of the year and receive awards of $5,000, plus $5,000 grants for the nonprofit charitable organizations of their choice. Student applications are completed online and are due by Nov. 3. Find application and eligibility details on the
awards program website.
