AdvocacyPublic, legislative and legal advocacy

Building a better legacy, together.

The Education Legal Alliance helps California’s school board members build toward a bright and sustainable future for their schools and students through legal advocacy across the state. The ELA has proven to be a powerful force in the courts since 1992 by saving and gaining schools millions of dollars, protecting the governance role of the board, and bettering the landscape of California’s public education for current and future generations.

We’re called an “alliance” for a reason – we can’t do this alone. The ELA is strengthened by each and every member. When you join the ELA, you’ll not only have access to expert education legal support, but you’ll be a part of the effort to leave California’s public education system better than we found it
