The 2016 Advocacy Institute, hosted by the National School Boards Association, is the annual “Day on the Hill” for school board members across the country. The event provides an opportunity for school trustees to meet with your congressional representatives to discuss federal education issues and legislation and offer important perspective on how these issues affect schools and students in your state. The event includes two days of informational sessions, briefings and seminars on Sunday, Jan 24, and Monday, Jan. 25, with meetings on Capitol Hill taking place Tuesday, Jan. 26.

School board members interested in attending must first pre-register with CSBA so that staff can schedule meetings with your representatives in advance of the event. Once your pre-registration is complete, you must then register with NSBA for the event. Complete event information and details are available online  at Advocacy Institute. If you have any questions or need assistance with registration, please contact Governmental Relations staff via email. Register for the 2016 Advocacy Institute in Washington, D.C. on Jan. 24-26.
