Assistant Executive Director of Policy and Governance Technology Services
Robert Tuerck joined CSBA as Senior Policy Consultant in September 2014 and became the Director of Policy Development and Manual Maintenance Services in September 2015 and Assistant Executive Director of Policy and Governance Technology Services in July 2017. Prior to coming to CSBA, Tuerck served on the governing boards of the Plumas Unified School District and County Office of Education, and spent two years as the Board Clerk.
In addition to his involvement with schools, Tuerck spent eight years practicing law in California and Washington state. He was the founding partner of Jackson & Tuerck, a small law office in Plumas County, California, where he focused on environmental law and matters affecting families, children and the local community. He is admitted to practice in state and federal courts, including the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Federal Court of Claims, and served two years as president of the Plumas County Bar Association.
Tuerck has a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Oregon, graduated with honors from the Seattle University School of Law, and will earn a master's degree in business administration with an emphasis in organizational leadership in 2017. Outside of education, Bob's passions include his family, fly fishing, hiking and being outdoors.
